First Vitreo-Retinal Surgery for an International Patient

Lahore: On 20th April 2018, at Bahria Town International Hospital, Bahria Orchard Lahore, a team of foreign trained surgeons performed Vitreo-Retinal surgery on a Family Member of His Highness Syed Abrar Ahmed Chisti’s Family Member. He represents Darbar of Hazrat Khwaja Moeen ud Din Chishti Ajmairy RUA in India.

Bahria Town International Hospital has a team of expert eye surgeons lead by Prof Dr. Zahid Kamal siddiqui & Dr Khalid Riaz (Both trained from UK). The Electro-Medical equipment & usable items of highest quality have been acquired from manufacturers of US, Switzerland, Germany and Pakistan. Vitreo-Retinal surgery refers to any operation to treat eye problems involving the retina, macula, and vitreous fluid. These include retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane and complications related to diabetic retinopathy.

So, far Bahria Town International Hospital Orchard, Lahore has performed a number of successful surgeries 60 kidney, 15 liver and multiple corneal transplants. The center is approved by Punjab Organ Transplant Authority. As a full-fledged Organ Transplant Center, the first-rate facility will become a center of excellence in organ transplant.
