KARACHI: The beautiful landscaping of Bahria Town Karachi is an example of the 2nd Garden Schwand Competition by the Horticulture Department of Bahria Town Karachi. The special guest of this event on the beautiful evening of February 15, was Ms. Mahrukh Hayyat along with the management of Bahria Town Karachi. A large number of residents & media personalities also participated in the event.
More than 100 residential and commercial office owners participated in this Best Garden Competition and showcased their beautifully decorated office lines and gardens. The participants in the garden show welcomed the efforts of Bahria Town Karachi and said that due to these initiatives, the interest of gardening developed in them & the importance of a healthy environment was also appreciated.
GM Bahria Town Karachi Horticulture Department, Ms. Ayesha Waqar said that “It is not enough to keep the environment clean only but there is a need for such measures that can also play a vital role in reducing the environmental pollution. We at Bahria Town Karachi are doing our best for a better environment in Karachi, and we want to see our residents along with us in this goal.”
Bahria Town Karachi Horticulture Department has been participating in competitions organized by the Horticulture Society of Pakistan for the past several years due to its beautiful landscaping & has received many awards too. It is also active in environmentally friendly efforts, including the establishment of an urban forest.
Garden Schwand Competition was also organized in order to involve residents of Bahria Town Karachi in the effort to inspire people to improve their environment.
