Bahria Town – The highly anticipated Bahria Town Champions Trophy is set to thrill cricket fans across Pakistan. Running from September 12 to 29, 2024, at the iconic Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. This prestigious event features some of Pakistan’s top domestic cricketers, further solidifying the tournament’s status as a key platform for showcasing the country’s cricketing prowess.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is proud to announce Bahria Town as the title sponsor for the tournament. The event, now officially titled the Bahria Town Champions One-Day Cup, features five competitive teams: the UMT Markhors, the Allied Bank Stallions, the Lake City Panthers, the Nurpur Lions, and the Dolphins, with the latter’s sponsor yet to be announced.
PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with Bahria Town. This collaboration will further uplift domestic cricket, and we expect high-quality matches that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.”
With cricket legends such as Misbah-ul-Haq and Saqlain Mushtaq mentoring the teams, fans are in for an exciting tournament filled with top-notch performances from seasoned players and rising stars alike.
In the second match of the Bahria Town Champions One-Day Cup, Allied Bank Stallions achieved a remarkable victory over the Nurpur Lions by 133 runs. Chasing a formidable target of 337, the Lions were bowled out for 203. Congratulations to Babar Azam for earning the Player of the Match award, presented by Wasim Ahmed, Head of Sports at Bahria Town Rawalpindi.
