Bahria Town constructed Pakistan’s first modern welfare village in Kot Addu for the flood affectees of 2010. This modern village consists of fully constructed houses which are 6 marla units with 2 bedrooms, a veranda, kitchen, washroom and a walled courtyard with water, electric and modern sewerage connections. A 9ft boundary wall provides a secure territorial boundary for the village, protecting it from both, vice and natural calamity. This is the first modern welfare village in Pakistan that has a modern sewerage system & utility.
These homes have been constructed with a fusion of low-cost housing and quality. In addition to that, they have been designed to amalgamate with the “typical village lifestyle”. Many more Welfare Villages are also under construction in other cities across the nation.
