Islamabad: Bahria Town hoisted the Pakistani tallest national flag at Bahria Garden City Islamabad. The national flag was being hoisted on a 160 feet tall pole, and the size of the flag was 25 x 40 feet.
Cmdr M. Ilyas (Retd) VCE Bahria Town & Maj Gen Javed Iqbal (Retd) ED Bahria Town was the chief guest at the flag hoisting ceremony. The ceremony got underway with the national anthem, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony and cake cutting. The chief guest raised the flag and raised his hands for the exclusive prayer for the Shuhada –e-Pakistan, peace, and prosperity of the country.
Buildings, parks, mosques, and monuments were decorated and illuminated with green fairy lights and flags all over Bahria Islamabad.
The management team of Bahria Town, members of civil society, and print and electronic media attended the ceremony.
In his address to the audience, Cmdr. M. Ilyas said, ‘By raising the tallest national flag to new heights, Bahria Town is promising to elevate the national outlook and pride of Pakistan.’ He emphasized the need for national unity and harmony to capitalize on the opportunities in regional trade opening up for Pakistan.
Bahria town is an example of a vivid vision to serve the people. Bahria Town has always been and will always be a step ahead in helping the people of Pakistan in the event of any calamity. We believe in national unity, peace, and prosperity. We are united under this flag.’
