Bahria Town win the 14th Corporate Philanthropy Award 2019-20 held by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) at Sarena Hotel Islamabad. Shaukat Tarin, adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance & Revenue joined as the Chief Guest. Chief Guest Shaukat Tarin said that the government will encourage, support, and incentivize the business sector to augment its philanthropic investments in order to supplement the government’s endeavors to tackle social and economic issues of the country.
Bahria Town was presented the award by the Finance Advisor. Mr. Shehzad Akhtar, Director Coordination and Public Relations, Bahria Town and Ms. Madiha Urooj, GM Corporate Affairs attended and received the award.
While sharing the findings of the survey, Shazia Maqsood Amjad, Executive Director PCP, highlighted that the corporate sector contributed a sum of PKR 16.45 billion as philanthropic donations during the tine financial year 2019-20.
Bahria Town’s social activities are always appreciated as it is working day and night in the development of the country, poverty alleviation, health, education and many other areas which is an important part of Bahria Town’s policy.
PCP annually conducts a corporate philanthropy award survey to highlight the good practices of giving by the business community and this report is the 16th in the series to document and recognize valuable contributions corporate sector towards various social causes.
