Bahria Town rescue teams working relentlessly to provide relief to the flood stricken people of Punj

Rescue efforts in full momentum for flood affectees of Sialkot, Wazirabad Border, Jhang, Multan and Muzzafarabad

Mobile medical units, Ration bags and truck loads of fresh food being distributed in all surrounding areas


Bahria Town rescue teams have been working relentlessly to provide relief to the flood stricken people of Punjab for over 3 weeks now. Amongst these rescue efforts, the ones executed in Sialkot and near the Wazirabad Border area were of exceptional nature. These efforts have also been extended to areas including Post ChuhayChak, Post FazalShaheed, Post Jhumian, Post Atta Shaheed, Post Patwal, Post AsgharShaheed, areas up to 9km from Jammu & Kashmir border including Chaprar, Jhoolianwala, ChakSalahriyan, Batal and Salapur. Up till now, more than 8000 ration bags have been distributed, more than 30,000 people have received free medical facilities treatments and more than 35,000 flood affectees are being provided with free meals, twice a day on a daily basis. More than 400 families have been provided with complete kitchen utensil packages and tents.

Bahria Town rescue teams have also been sent to Multan District and Muzzafargarh District for the flood stricken people.  Bahria Town is sending out trucks filled with fresh food and distributing free meals twice a day in areas 10 km’s from Rangiyon Road and 25 km’s from Muzzafargarh Road. More than 5,000 people are being given free food on a daily basis. The areas being covered by the rescue teams include Muradabad, Muzzafarabad bye pass, Khudai Bangla, BastiGanji, Head Muhammad Campus and BaggaSher.

Relief efforts are also under way for the affectees of Rawalpindi as well, specifically Christian neighborhoods including Sharoon Colony, Doctor Colony, Malik Town and the areas situated along the bank of the Soan River. A relief camp has been set and BahriaDastarkhwan has been operational since 5th September, feeding fresh meals, twice a day to the flood affected people. Bahria Town medical staff is also present and is working relentlessly to provide all kinds of free medical treatments.

More than 150 people were given relief packages, which included beds, kitchen utensils and clothing for men women and children. A special ceremony was held for the distribution of flood relief packages amongst the people, which included beds, kitchen utensils and clothing for men women and children. Bahria town VCE Land, Haji AmjadMahmoodCh was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

The flood relief package was distributed among the natives.  A ceremony was held at 03:30 pm on Friday. Bahria town official VCE Land Haji AmjadMahmoodCh, was the Chief Guest of the distribution ceremony, he distributed the packages among 150 flood effectees. The flood relief package consisted on Char Paees, complete bedding, kitchen utensils, men women and children clothing.
