Bahria Town’s relief efforts for IDP’s is in full momentum. The 3 BahriaDastarkhwan’s that have been setup in Bannu have been feeding Iftar as well as regular meals to thousands of IDP’s since day one, comprising of dates, biryani and, juices. These Dastarkhwan’s are located at GhoriWala D.I Khan Lucky Marwat Road, Army Stadium Camp Kohat Road Bannu City and Miran Shah MamshKhel.
Bahria Town mobile medical units are aggressively active in Bannu and surrounding areas, working relentlessly to provide free checkups, treatments and distributing free medicines to men women and children. Besides the Dastarkhwan’s, more than 5,000 families have also been provided with rashan bags.
According to government consensus, Bannu has a population of 1,000,000 and with an addition of 1,000,000 IDP’s there is a severe scarcity of basic facilities, especially clean water. Chairman Bahria Town, Malik RiazHussain has taken immediate notice of the situation and instructed his teams to collect all the necessary data and consensus reports from the government officials and install water hand-pumps.
